Camp Information

Silver Spur Outfitters, L.L.C.

At Silver Spur Outfitters, our personal service is the heart of our business. We strive to give you the best hunt possible and a very memorable experience. We have several different camps to choose from (explaining our different prices), two great lodge camps, one high-country tent camp and several different semi-guided and drop camps. All camps are warm, dry and friendly – important factors when dealing with western weather and terrain. Our camps are private, well maintained and allow for the “Hunting from Home” experience. In all cases, there is game available “in the backyard.” Our lodges are clean and have all the comforts of home (even Direct TV)! We have some excellent home style meals and you can rest assured you will never go hungry.

We hunt between Rifle and New Castle, CO in Game Management Units 32, 33 and 42. We do have a big range of hunts to choose from. From alfalfa fields to cedar hills to oak brush and sage brush to big timber and aspen groves, we have about any type of hunt you could want. We have a lot of spot and stalk hunting, tower blinds over alfalfa fields, high country horseback hunts, and 4X4 hunts. From the most extreme physical hunting to a more laid back tower blind type hunt we can get you the type of hunt you desire.

The next hunt (fully guided) we call the Starbuck Lodge: Main Camp. It is encompassed of several great hunting ranches (ranging from 500 acres to 4,000 acres) that we rotate around to. There is great wildlife habitat and lots of game on these ranches. We stay at the lodge and go down to theses ranches to hunt, this is a great hunt because we can rotate properties that we hunt, moving with the game and also giving them a rest to keep the game on our properties. The lodge is modern and has all the comforts of home with Direct TV, hot showers, home style meals, etc.

We also have a limited number of excellent semi-guided and drop camps available for archery and rifle seasons. These camps have a camper, tent or motel for accommodations and you supply your own food. The semi-guided hunts will have a guide, drop camps have no guides. Give us a call for more details on these; we can work with you on the type of hunt you would like.
